IEEE Membership

Being an IEEE member is part of a global partnership of more than 420,000 members in more than 160 countries. Here’s how you can be a part of the IEEE-USAC Student Branch and the benefits you have.

There are two ways to be part of the IEEE-USAC branch.

  • The first is to be only voluntary, we do several activities throughout the year (technical, social, humanitarian, etc.) and we always need help, for this you only need to be a student of the USAC.
  • The second is to be a volunteer and an official member, IEEE is a global organization, membership brings several benefits among which I can mention: an email account with the domain @, access to online papers, scholarship opportunities to participate in Short events (in recent years we have sent representatives to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, Turkey), acquire contacts and meet people of various nationalities.

There are many more benefits that one is encountering along the way, I mentioned a couple to not lengthen the message much, for this option, the requirements are: to be a student of the USAC (this is only for our branch since there is also IEEE in Other universities) and pay an annual fee of USD 27.00, this is not paid directly to us, but online, on the official website of the organization
